The end of October saw Mick and Barbara lead us up through Cumbria and to the Scottish border and, indeed, to cross it when they organised a trip to the Fleece Hotel outside Carlisle.
Sunday, the 7th of September was forecast to be a rather dreary day, both cold and rainy. Nevertheless, the undaunted Burnley and Pendle MGOC – and their guests Steve and Janet – set off for Ireby Farm and the mandatory coffee and cakes.
“In September, Roger and Olive took the Burnley and Pendle MGOC to Bolton Castle at Castle Bolton, a longer than usual run and more unusually — because of different members’ commitments — in the mid week. We welcomed our new member Matthew and our visitors Kate and Mark.
The weather was not looking too promising when nine cars left The Old Stone Trough.
