Easter Run & Lords Restaurant
Easter brought excellent weather and holidays – together, for a change – a Burnley and Pendle run though, this time, on a weekday but a lot of members elsewhere.
Even so, a mixed bag of five cars: an MG Midget, a BGT, an RV8, a Cybster and one, er, foreigner met at Kilnsey Park Fish Farm for a coffee stop, said Roger. Refreshed, we set off – in perfect weather conditions – up though Kettlewell, over the tops to Aysgarth and on to Hawes. We had hoped to stop for lunch there but, being Easter holidays, there was hardly a parking space to be found even in the Creamery’s large grounds. Thus, it was decided to put plan B into operation and we headed for Lords Courtyard at Settle and there we enjoyed a hearty lunch after which we parted company and left for home. That day we’d had a lovely ninety mile run in beautiful sunshine and, really, the result of Roger and Frank’s impromptu suggestion.
