The moment we all dread. One minute driving smugly along ,engine purring, the next ,a loud bang and a grinding noise as the car stops.generally in a very inconvenient spot. Whilst my MGB did the first, I avoided the second problem and drew up by the side of the road close to home. Brain still in gear, initial thoughts , ‘disintegrating gearbox’
In view of the coronavirus situation the Pendle Run officials have taken the decision not to host the event this year. A refund of all entry fees to participants will be made as soon as possible by cheque. If you prefer a BACs payment please contact Neil Taylor, Burnley & Pendle MGOC on 07535 738842.
I am sure you will appreciate we had no alternative but to cancel the event.
Sadly all club activities have been suspended, this decision will be reviewed later this year.
Neil and Janet organised our March Sunday Run and they tell us about it: “Having had such a wet winter and, after the success of tenpin bowling at the last run, we once again kept to the main roads and set out to visit to Salts Mill at Saltaire, Shipley from the Old Stone Trough Kelbrook.
Our other notable Janet – Wareing – made headline news, well at least the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, appearing on Flog It and the auction of her garden gnome! What a lovely photograph!
