Historic Vehicles Clubs
Dear All. This article appeared in this week’s Classic Car Weekly and I feel that we should all contribute (I have) to the survey. The FBHVC lobbies – on behalf of all clubs – at many levels including parliamentary, which has classic car enthusiasts in both houses (the All Party Parliamentary Historic Vehicles Group, chaired by Sir Greg Knight) and many of us may remember Lord (David) Steel’s rally career – when he wasn’t running the Liberal Party – and though, now, he contents himself with a very original1964 Wolseley, he has piloted a hefty 1966 Rover 3 Litre and been involved with classic endurance rallying in the past.
We have friends in high places! We should all help to keep them informed about how much we value our hobby, one, incidentally, which is estimated to employ 34,000 people and bring £5.5b into the national economy.
