Thursday dawned cloudy, no blue skies above,
Storm Gareth left water where once green fields stood,
At Ireby Green we gathered for drinks and an excellent English breakfast,
Not to be deterred, only 3 MGs, the rest more suited the forecast.
We began July with a visit to the Leighton Hall Classic Car Show and Barbara tells us about it. Eight cars, six of them MGs, arrived at the designated A6 Layby, to form up in convoy and travel on to our destination.
Each year we plan our Pendle run in much the same way. First, our route and our welcome to our entrants – and then we unroll our prayer mats in the hope of good weather!
May brought the Stratford Festival of Motoring – which David and Miranda had entered previously and thoroughly recommended – so twelve intrepid Burnley and Pendle members entered the fray.
