Tenpin Bowling
The second Burnley and Pendle MGOC outing was on a weekday – the 12th of February – when a hardy crew visited the bowling alley at the Flower Bowl near Barton Grange. Hopefully however, we shall soon be starting our driving events as the weather improves though March’s will be lunch at the Buck Inn at Paythorne on Sunday the second of February. Because it was a weekday, the venue was pleasantly uncrowded so the games proceeded unhindered and at pace. Richard triumphed! Unfortunately, Neil was indisposed so Neil and Janet were unable to accompany us and a couple of other members were a bit creaky, so for them – including your secretary – it was a “spectator sport”! It didn’t stop them enjoying an excellent lunch however, and you will see the photographic proof! Please remember that the meetings are now at three monthly intervals and to contact the secretary before visiting on a Tuesday as they are going to be at lunchtime but at the same place.
