Italian Orchard Restaurant
On a chilly, though sunny, Sunday in January and just as the snow was starting to thaw, Mick and Barbara took us to the Italian Orchard Restaurant in Broughton for our Sunday “run”. A nearly new building — though very traditionally styled in the restaurant — it is part of a complex including a wine store that has been in Broughton for many years. I’m afraid that MGs is were not really evidence, probably in deference to the masses of salt on the roads.
We had an excellent and jolly lunch served by attentive and numerous staff, most of whom sported excellent Italian accents. All in all, we probably spent about three hours catching up on the events of the past month and really not doing anything very constructive other than having a very good time! Thanks to Mick and Barbara for arranging this and our next meetings will be the more serious business of the AGM and the first meeting of the new year.”
