Buck Inn

January 7th brought the first Burnley and Pendle MGOC outing of the New Year.  Roger and Olive had booked us a table in front of a glowing and warm log burning stove at the rural Buck Inn, which seemed entirely appropriate for this very cold but sunny day and, though most others arrived in very conventional modern cars, at least two members braved the salt to bring their MGs – Irv and Gail were even brave enough to arrive with their car hood lowered!  Mind you, they were not the only brave souls out that day for, when we arrived, there was a group of young men – apparently, we were told, locals – with their ponies, who were setting out to ride them bare backed …  We had an excellent and convivial meal – though, sadly, one member had to miss it through illness – to start, off the season which, this month, also includes the AGM and, following which, the first Meeting of 2024.  Also, don’t forget to check out the details of June 2nd’s 30th Anniversary Pendle Run, in Enjoying MG.
