Bowland Forest Farm Lunch
Though the January Meeting and AGM had to be deferred to February owing to a sudden and severe snowstorm, February’s outing was lunch at the delightfully refurbished Bowland Forest Farm on a somewhat grey and wet Sunday. Usual winter weather, really, but we were all comfortably seated, around our reserved table, with views out over the Ribble Valley countryside. Though, of course, this was a “get together” organised by Neil and Janet – rather than an MG run – the scenery on the way was worthy of its own trip out, making the journey there enjoyable of itself. We were not disappointed with the choice of venue, the company was genial and the food and staff excellent. Some of us even had three courses … Our next meeting, held after the AGM, will give us the opportunity to plan for this coming year’s events – including the Pendle Run, on June 2nd this year – and centred, as usual, on the Old Stone Trough at Kelbrook, on the first Sunday (wherever possible) in the month starting at 10am. But, if you do plan to join us – and you’ll be made very welcome – be sure to contact the secretary first to confirm the arrangements.
