STORRS HALL
A phone call out of the blue on Monday 9th April resulted in a frantic rallying of available members to have a trip out on Sunday 15th to Storrs Hall – a beautiful hotel on the side of Lake Windermere – who could resist the call of a free afternoon tea in such a stunning location – all courtesy of Maserati? 5 cars with 10 members made a stunning convoy of MG’s through the country roads and ended up at the hotel. A good mooch round the amassed “super” cars suited the chaps down to the ground but 2 ladies decided to take advantage of the trip out on the lake in a super duper powerboat – 1 lady even went out twice – even second hand the boat was a tad more expensive than the total of all 5 MG’s together! Great afternoon, bottomless coffee and tea pots and smoked salmon crust less sandwiches , scones with jam and cream and great company – not a bad day out!!
