N.Ireland causeway trip
Four members of BPMGOC joined thirteen other cars of various makes on Scenic Car Tours Causeway Coast Tour.
We crossed from Cairnryan to Belfast on a very well appointed Stena Line ferry for the two and a quarter hour trip.On arrival we made our way to our first night hotel at Carrickfergus and a look round that area.
After a hearty breakfast it was off up the coast in fabulous sunshine and hoods down. The scenery was breathtaking and eventually we pulled in for lunch at Ballycastle and off again taking in the rope bridge and then on to our hotel at Coleraine.First thing in the morning we headed for The Giants Causeway in order to beat the crowds. It was then a visit to Bushmills Distillery,Portrush,Portstewart and Magilligan Point.
Next day we headed down to Belfast calling at UK village of the year Broughshane and Dark Hedges. The afternoon was spent at the Titanic Experience followed by night in a local tavern with Irish music and a few Guinness. The morning after it was off on the open top bus for a very interesting tour of the city.In the afternoon it was back on the ferry and the long drive home.
A brilliant trip with equally brilliant weather
