M.G.Ireland
The luxurious Galgorm Spa and Hotel, near Ballymena, Northern Ireland hosted around 75 M.G.s in April, on a break organised by Travel Destinations in conjunction with the M.G. Owners Club. Three of our members, Neil, Janet and David along with his co- driver Terry headed up to Stranraer the day before sailing. Marine House provided excellent accommodation and with a convivial dinner at a nearby restaurant it proved the best start to our holiday. Especially with a millpond crossing the following day.
During our four nights stay we drove, hood down, in the sunshine along the rugged coastline visiting Giants Causeway and the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and of course, no trip here would be complete without a visit to the Bushmills Distillery.
In the evening we caught up with old friends all sharing the tales of their day or just reminiscing on past M.G.exploits.
Tearing ourselves away from the comforts of our Hotel a few of us visited the Cross Keys pub, pictured above. Plenty of Guinness and an amazing warm Irish welcome from the locals.
