In view of the usually inclement weather in January we did not hold our usual Sunday Run and — when 15 members of the Burnley and Pendle MGOC decamped to the Buck Inn at Paythorne— the weather did not disappoint with the torrential rain fully justifying our decision.
Members met in mid-December at The Old Stone Trough for their annual Christmas meal.
Irv and Gail brought the Burnley and Pendle touring year to a delightful conclusion with their November Sunday Run, leading off their eclectic gaggle of MGs and, er, others.
Members Nigel and Elizabeth planned the October Run with a slight twist and Barbara tells us about it.
Unusually, for the Burnley and Pendle, September’s outing was another classic car show and this time it was at the historic Hoghton Tower – where James I improbably is said to have knighted Sir Loin – dating from the middle 1500s, though the de Hoghtons have lived there from the 12th century until the present time. Barbara tells us about it.
